Everybody has heard of the Simpsons. If you haven’t you must have been away on a 20+ year space voyage. Simply put, it is the most successful animated series of all time. Simpsons games soon followed, as the gaming industry wanted a piece of the pie. In many ways the show is a typical American family sitcom. It parodies the middle class lifestyle of North American families. American culture, TV, society and the human condition are all fair game for the Simpsons. Family members include Homer (the dad), Marge (the wife) and Bart, Lisa and Maggie.
Originally, the Simpsons Games was developed as a series of animated short stories as part of the Tracy Ullman show. After three seasons, The Simpsons was developed into a half hour show and beginning in the 1989-1990 season was given a time slot of its own in prime time.

Now coming up to its 21st season, The Simpsons has shown over 450 episodes and have released The Simpsons Movie in 2007. In 2009, The Simpsons has beaten out Gunsmoke as the longest running primetime series – and there is no end in sight.
The series has been the recipient of more awards than you can count: 26 Emmy Awards, 26 Annie Awards and a Peabody Award. And a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000. The Simpsons – a TV series a movie and a wide variety of video games ready to be played by you! Simpsons games have been made for all sorts of genres and systems. Initially, a number of the games were critically panned even while being a commercial success.
