Bart vs. The Space Mutants is a typical platform game albeit with a character from a famous TV show. The player gets to be Bart Simpson and must stop the invaders of Springfield – the Space Mutants. Bart is the only person who has found out the alien’s secret plan for domination. The challenge, should you accept it, is to stop the mutants from collecting the various items they need to create the ultimate weapon of world domination.
Bart also has to collect items in order to build up power and strength before the ‘boss’ at the end of each level. These items are things like purple objects, balloons, nuclear rods, exit signs etc. Once he has collected the items he is ready to meet the boss. The game gets tricky because the Space Mutants have taken over human bodies as their disguise. Bart must figure them out by using his x-ray glasses. Bart also has the use of coins which can be used in various levels of the game. In some cases you must have them to solve a particular puzzle.
