Simpsons Games
A professional wrestling game – the Simpsons. The two hardly seem to hand in hand but they do in “The Simpsons Wrestling”. When released, the game received generally negative reviews from critics. Called simplistic with bad graphics, the game is considered by many to be the worst video game ever made. The one positive aspect of the game was its audio soundtrack.
The entire original cast voices the 16 characters in the game. Each of the 16 characters has their own trademark moves and gestures as well as power. The matches are held in locations around Springfield in very detailed 3D. As in real professional wrestling, the match is over when one of the wrestlers is pinned for a three count.
The game has two modes: tournament style or two player mode. The two player mode is like a grudge match where the two players can interact. The tournament mode is single player only.
In each mode, the player has a health meter which indicates how much energy they have used and more importantly how much they have left. One power up you can get is, fittingly, a donut. I really enjoyed the simpsons wrestling games very much. Excellent gameplay.
